I got this really cheap no name light tasting olive oil and used 1/2 butterscotch chips and 1/2 President's Choice semi-sweet chocolate chips. I think the latter were actually better than the Chipits brand, as they were very melted instead of still being a hard piece of chocolate in the cookie. But pretty much any way you slice it, cookies are never bad!Diane Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14426011627692521465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4555889472790804631.post-30813702722423046982013-02-02T21:46:27.613-08:002013-02-02T21:46:27.613-08:00Interestingly, the ones that I sorta forgot about ...Interestingly, the ones that I sorta forgot about (you know your life is crazy when you forget about cookies in your house) in the cupboard softened up just a little by the end of a week and were even better than when I first made them. Well, not better than when they were warm and gooey out of the oven, but better than they were after they'd cooled and hardened. If your peanut butter has salt in it, then yes, you'd have to cut back on the salt you add. Or, come to think of it, these are a wee bit salty - imagine if they were made as intended with salted butter! I tend to scant the salt in all my recipes.Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08386761386359207998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4555889472790804631.post-68937359987574669392013-02-02T17:59:58.495-08:002013-02-02T17:59:58.495-08:00rest of the jury is out still, but i'm not imp...rest of the jury is out still, but i'm not impressed. Let you know how it goes.

I find peanut butter in oatmeal cookies makes them lighter and slighly crunchy... I really like the texture...

Of course that's a love it or hate it thing (and in some sad cases, flat out kill you), let you know how these go :)

GGaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14869393704971913459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4555889472790804631.post-64140584999935966192013-01-18T10:04:34.353-08:002013-01-18T10:04:34.353-08:00and congratulations on the permits!!!and congratulations on the permits!!!callistohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01496238318164232557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4555889472790804631.post-8831582249715822742013-01-18T10:03:39.738-08:002013-01-18T10:03:39.738-08:00olive oil! wow very cool, and cats that like olive...olive oil! wow very cool, and cats that like olives weird.
